Major fundraiser yields $75,000 and provides a night of entertainment and delicious food.
In October, we held our major fundraising event the FoodShare CookOff. Chefs and business leaders came together to cook in front of their friends and colleagues. All food products and beverages were donated and of the highest quality. Our Chefs did a magnificent job designing their menus and preparing their dishes for their sous chefs. Our wonderful business sous Chefs rose to the fundraising challenge and bravely put themselves on the line to cook and entertain our guests. The result was a highly entertaining evening and a gastronomic delight.
Together with an auction on the night, a total of $75,000 was raised for FoodShare. A magnificent effort which will allow us to deliver on our promise to provide food for over 500,000 meals for those in need in the wider Dunedin community.
As we continue to grow as a food rescue organisation, partnerships with all our stakeholders and sponsors are vital to our success. We are truly grateful for the help and generosity of all those who took part.
